1975: Agreement on Economic and Technical Cooperation between Japan and Saudi Arabia was established

1976: TM King and Queen Hussein of Jordan visited Japan

1976: TIH Crown Prince and Princess of Japan visited Jordan

1977: Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) opened the office in Tokyo

1977 June: Recognition of Djibouti by Japan

1977 October: Private Goodwill Economic Mission (Leader: Shigeo NAGANO, Chairman of the Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry) of Japan visited Sudan

1977 November: Date of the recognition of Comoros by Japan

1978: Prime Minister of Japan, Takeo Fukuda visited Qatar

1978: Agreement between Japan and the Arab Republic of Egypt Concerning the Encouragement and Reciprocal Protection of Investment

1978: Embassy of Syria opened in Tokyo

1978 January: Moichi MIYAZAKI, Parliamentary Secretary of the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications of Japan visited Sudan

1979: Cultural Agreement between Iraq and Japan
